3749 – One Voice

My goal in creating this painting with acrylic skins was to present an image of unity of all mankind. No matter your skin colour, we are all part of the human race – we are one. The piece developed a musical quality as it evolved and I loved the idea of all peoples singing together with one voice. It also loosely took on the shape of an Inukshuk, translated means in the image of humans. The Inuit have used these as directional markers as a way of  indicating where people lived.  I liked the idea of my painting being a signpost showing the direction to find all The People, unified.
