In 2018 Wendie Donabie opened Heron’s Nest Studio Gallery, located steps from downtown Bracebridge. Working in a variety of mediums, her paintings are inspired by nature and concern for the environment.
Currently, the intimate studio gallery features Wendie’s paintings, limited edition prints and blank greeting cards, as well as stained glass by Maureen Haines (Log Cabin Glass Studio), artisan designed furniture by Conel O’Regan (Happenstance Design), paintings by Pat J. Whittle (Pat J Whittle), the metal artistry of Deb Harkness, Artisan Blacksmith, the hand sculpted animal creations by self-proclaimed, ‘Dysfunctional’ Potter, Naomi Frohlich, the wildlife animal prints by Denis Marier, Fine Gold and Silver Jewelry by Penny Varney, and Lathe-turned Wood Bowls by Frank Drinkwater.
The work shown at Heron’s Nest always draws its inspiration from the natural world around us. When you visit, take time for a walk through the beautiful flower gardens and catch a view from the back of the property.
