Meditation was inspired by the abundance of waterlilies along the shoreline of Cache Lake in Algonquin Park. Waterlilies are like Lotus Flowers that are associated with meditation and thus the title. Frogs love to laze on waterlily pads so it just seemed right to include one in the painting.
